Abatey: Kwesi Appiah Is Not Hungry, He should Give Sport Ministry Time To Settle The Arrears

Minister of Youth and Sports spokesman Kofi Asare Brako [Abatey] has again fired former Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah for consistently demanding his areas owe him days after retracting and apologising for his comments on the same issue.

It seems the Ministry of Youth and Sports that finances the payment of wages of Black Stars coaches are in financial crisis since the demand of $185,000 arrears owing to the coach has become a nightmare for the Ministry.

The Ministry’s spokesman believes that the 27 months salaries the ex Ghana international has received together with the $250,000 signing should be enough to give the Ministry an ample time to raise funds to clear the arrears.

“Kwasi Appiah is not hungry, he is a big man, he has enough money, we have paid him over 27 months salaries, plus a signing on fee of $250,000,” he told Asempa FM.

Meanwhile, the seasoned journalist has retracted and apologized to former coach Kwesi Appiah for branding him as ungrateful for his quest to demand his arrears.
