”GFA president in his address to the delegation from the presidency on resumption of sports amid Covid-19 yesterday suggested to government to allow clubs resume training in groups of five or four as part of steps to resume the league behind closed doors.

’He further stressed playing the games behind closed doors will help avoid flouting social distancing rules by showing the games live on TV”.

Professor Peter Twumasi further revealed that the Ghana Football Association president assured the government delegation that players will undergo a mandatory COVID-19 test before every league match ensure that the health of the players is guaranteed and to also help fight the spread of the virus.

”The GFA president briefing the team on how football can resume revealed players will go through mandatory Covid-19 text before every league match”. He added.

Both the Ghana Men’s and Women’s Premier League together with other sporting activities are counting on the government decision whether to resume or remain suspended.
