Ghanaian Female footballer has opened up on the effects of the coronavirus pandemic on her football career as the Women’s Premier League remains suspended.
The Prison Ladies player laments over lack of training as the only thing left for her is to continue to serve her country as a prisons officer.
Helena Obeng in an interview with Kumasi based Otec FM disclosed that she only eats and sleep after work since she cannot train.
She said the suspension of the league amid the novel coronavirus pandemic has affected them because she sees herself growing obese.
“I am growing fat because I lack training time due to my job.” She told Otec Sports.
“Eating and sleeping have become a routine thing after work. The break has really affected us because we will need new stamina to deliver if the league resumes.” She added.
She, therefore, consented to the view that the Women’s Premier League should resume but in accordance with government directives and other health authorities.
