COVID-19: Legon Cities FC Management Engage Fans Via Zoom

The Management of Ghana Premier League outfit Legon Cities has held a Zoom Hangout with fans of the club as clubs battle to survive the Covid-19.

Legon Cities was represented by Chief Executive Officer, Terry Maxwell-Aidam, the Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Administrative Manager Kwabena Asenso and Club Communications Manager Kwame Dwomoh-Agyemang

The ardent fans of the club were given the opportunity to ask as many questions of their choice with a greater number of them focused on the COVID-19 and how the club is managing in these very difficult times.

The Chief Executive Officer, Mr Terry Maxwell Aidam addressed as many of these questions which focused on transfers, the possibility of owning their own stadium, and their plans for the not too distant future.

He disclosed that the Club was still in talks with the government and the University of Ghana on the possibility of using the facility as their home venue when the league resumes.

We have started engaging the authorities at the Premier University and we are hopeful of a positive response from them. We believe that such a facility would help us grow our fan base and also align ourselves with the institution as the name of the club has a connection with the school.”

He further stressed that Legon Cities have business plans for the supporters which will soon be unveiled and through which the supporters will derive an income and also in order to record good attendance, management have targeted to visit some campuses in the post-COVID-19.

He said all Replica jerseys ordered but could not be sold due to the pandemic will be available to the supporters when the government has declared a safe environment.

He also revealed that ex-Asante Kotoko forward, Songne Yacouba, was to join the club but the deal could not materialise.
