The Finance Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has said the Finance Committee of the local football controlling body will set the modalities for the disbursement of relief funds from the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA).
FIFA announced last week that it will disburse $1.5 million to each federation as part of their support for them during the COVID 19 pandemic.
Fredrick Acheampong Executive Council member said, “FIFA will pay $500,000 to us this July 2020, and another $500,000 in January 2021, and $500,000 for women Football is also expected this July 2020.
“The Finance Committee has been tasked to come out with modalities of sharing this money per FIFA’S conditions and those who are eligible to benefit,” he added.
The fund will include national teams, as well as clubs, referees, coaches, and juvenile football.
