Ex-Wife Of Odartey Lamptey Ordered To Pack Out Of Seven-Bedroom House

The Appeals Court has rejected an appeal against Nii Odartey Lamptey filed by his ex-wife Gloria Appiah.
Gloria Appiah’s petition to the Appeals Court to be given Odartey Lamptey’s 7-bedroom East Legon mansion as part of her alimony was thrown out on Monday, July 6.
The Accra High Court Justice Cecilia Don-Chebe Agbevey, in June 2017, had put finality to a winding divorce battle between the two.
Gloria was unsuccessful in her bid to get a 50 percent stake of the former national youth star’s assets after the Accra High Court ruled against her in the divorce trial.
The court ruled that Gloria was adulterous and did not merit a 50-50 split of Odartey’s entire assets after having three children out of wedlock.
Gloria was allocated Nii Lamptey’s property located at Dome as he had proposed and as well awarded 40 percent of a GH©500,000 sum she had demanded as alimony.
She, however, was ordered to vacate and hand over his 7-bedroom apartment in East Legon within 30 days – the part of the ruling the now ex-wife of the former West Ham United starlet decided to appeal.
But the appeal which aimed at keeping the imposing East Legon residence as part of her entitlements has fallen flat.
All three judges who sat on the appeal ruled in favour of the ex-star and have ordered Gloria to move out as soon as possible.
Odartey Lamptey, speaking to Kasapa FM’s Alexander Anyankwaa after the ruling said:
“I feel happy now because it’s been over seven years of legal battle but I thank God that finally her appeal against me has been thrown out and the court has ordered her to evacuate from my mansion.
“It has not been easy at all but I thank The Lord Almighty for a battle well-fought. I thank my lawyers Kizito Beyuo & Iris K. Aggrey-Orleans for a great job.”

It’s my prayer that nobody experiences this kind of situation because it can easily ruin your life.”
The ex-Ghana star has remarried and now has three beautiful children with movie star Ruweida Yakubu – two girls and a boy.
