Al Ahly have filed their 13th complaint to Egypt’s Public Prosecutor against Zamalek’s president, Mortada Mansour as tension between both clubs keeps escalating.
Mortada Mansour’s abuse towards his Al Ahly counterpart, Mahmoud El-Khatib, continued over the past months.
In his latest comments on his Facebook page, Mansour claimed that Zamalek legend Farouk Gaafar was a much better player than El-Khatib and said that referees tend to be bias towards Al Ahly.
This comes following Gaafar statements on Zamalek TV where he said that in the 80s African referees used to ask Zamalek players and coaching staff whether they wanted to be gifted a penalty or see an opposition player get sent off.
Mansour then concluded his rant by saying that Al Ahly are trying to distort some information to ruin the White Castle’s reputation.
As a result the Reds, led by El-Khatib, opted to lodge their 13th complaint against their arch rivals and their president following these insulting comments.
Additionally, they announced that they won’t accept any attack on the club’s legends such as the club’s chairman or the likes Mohamed Aboutrika.
